Detroit's hitting continues to be terrible and the Tigers managed only three hits while being shut out 8-0 by the Rays on Friday night. Three of the four meetings this season have gone UNDER with the Tigers scoring a total of only three runs. Tampa Bay also has stayed UNDER three of four while allowing 10 runs and seven came in one game against the Yankees. Aaron Civale will make his first start for the Rays after coming over in a trade with Cleveland where he was 5-2 with a 2.34 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. Civale has given up only five runs his past five starts in 31 1/3 innings. Tarik Skubal has a 0.97 WHIP in five appearances for Detroit.
