Tampa Bay at Chicago

Here goes a pair of teams trying to stay in pennant races with time running out. Tampa Bay has ace David Price here, but he's 1-4 all time against Chicago. This White Sox offense is solid at eighth in baseball in runs scored and slugging. Tampa Bay is just 18th in runs scored and 20th in slugging and a team batting average of .241 (27th). That lack of offense caught up with them Friday in a 3-1 loss here getting just three hits before a win yesterday. One problem for today is that the Rays face a terrific arm in Jose Quintana (6-5, 3.60 ERA), fanning 78 in 132 innings and only 39 walks. The White Sox are 13-3 in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 8-3 in their last 11 games as a home underdog. Chicago is 6-2 in Quintana's last eight home starts and the White Sox are 15-6 in their last 21 home games against a team with a winning record. Grab the talented hungry home dog; play the White Sox.
