Tampa Bay at Chicago

The Sox jumped out to a huge lead last night and while giving up big chunks of runs, held on for a 12-9 victory. That's how bad Tampa Bay is right now, especially on the road. They are now 1-21 since the All-Star break on the road. They face Jon Garland who is 15-4 ont he year witha 3.76 home ERA. Over his last three starts, Garland has pitched 23.7 innings and allowed one earned run. It doesn't get any hotter than that. Not good for a Tampa team that manages 4.0 runs per game on the road. Chicago belts in 5.8 per game at home and they are now averaging 6.6 per game over their last seven. White Sox again tonight.
