Tampa Bay at Chicago

Chicago had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 5-1 loss to Seattle on Thursday, but the White Sox still generally have gotten good pitching in the early going, and Dylan Cease will start tonight's game. Cease allowed a run on two hits in five innings in his first outing against Detroit, and he was 6-2 with a .205 opponent batting average in 16 home starts in 2021. Also, the righthander pitched well in April giving up eight runs in 24 1/3 innings. Tampa Bay swept Baltimore in its opening series, but the Rays have lost three of four since while allowing 31 runs against Oakland. Dating to last season, Chicago is 14-5 following a loss and 18-5 in the first game of a series. The Rays haven't had much luck with their bullpen games so far this year. Take the White Sox.
