After falling behind 1-0, the Rays have put it to the Red Sox as Tampa Bay has now won three straight. The Sox have their backs to the wall and will send Dice-K Matsuzaka to the rescue. Although the Rays’ bats have been hot, they were completely shut down by Dice-K in the opener as he flirted with a no-hitter into the sixth and left with no runs allowed and nine punch-outs in seven innings. That runs his mark to 22 innings and just five runs against the Rays on the season, or a 2.05 ERA. Scott Kazmir is a premier pitcher and over his career spanning five seasons, he has never had a season with more OVERS in his starts than UNDERS. His career log is 67-52 to the UNDER, while Matsuzaka is 36-28 to the UNDER for a combined 103-80 to the UNDER! The Sox are desperate and will certainly look to Papelbon who has not ever allowed an earned run in the postseason for a two-inning save if necessary here. I will back the UNDER here.
