For the Tampa Bay Rays, the road to the playoffs has been a difficult one. They first needed a win their regular season finale at Toronto to qualify for a tiebreaker vs. Texas. They went to Texas and won, but then had to go to Cleveland for the wildcard play-in game. They won there, and then had to head to Boston for this series. That made four different cities inside of a week, and it showed yesterday as they were beaten badly 12-2. The Red Sox got to Matt Moore, and he was pitching better than David Price is, who threw 118 pitches in his last outing. Price is just 1-3 in the postseason with a 3.96 ERA, compared to Lackey who owns a 3.12 ERA in 14 playoffs appearances. The Rays are just 1-7 in their last eight as a playoffs favorite, while Boston has been lethal at home where they are 41-17 in their last 58. Back the Sawx.
