Tampa Bay at Boston

Tampa Bay took advantage of some Boston fielding misplays and won 6-2 for its third win in four games to stay four ahead of Baltimore in the AL East. The Red Sox lost their fifth in seven games and are in the division cellar even with a 30-29 record. Shane McClanahan is 8-1 with a 2.07 ERA and 1.15 WHIP for the Rays and he has allowed only three runs his past three starts in 19 2/3 innings. McClanahan has faced Boston once this season and gave up a run on two hits in five innings. Brayan Bello has pitched well recently, but the Red Sox still have lost his past two starts first with non-run support and then the bullpen let him down. Tampa Bay has won six of seven meetings and the Rays are 40-14 after allowing two or fewer runs their previous game dating to last season. Boston is 17-43 after scoring two or fewer runs its previous game. Take the Rays as a Max Play.
