Tampa Bay at Boston

Tampa Bay lost 2-1 on Saturday when Boston's Sandy Leon hit a broken-bat, bases loaded ground out for the eventual winning run, and today Alex Cobb continues his comeback from Tommy John surgery at Fenway Park where he is 3-1 with a 2.28 ERA in his career. Cobb pitched well his first start allowing one run and four hits in 5 2/3 innings before losing his next outing against the Yankees. However, the right-hander has shown good control with 11 strikeouts and just two walks. Drew Pomeranz had a 6.43 ERA at Fenway last year and gave up six runs on 16 hits in 17 2/3 innings against the Rays overall. The Red Sox have lost four straight following a win, and Tampa Bay has held its own so far with a 6-6 record, a half-game behind the Red Sox in the AL East. Play the Rays.
