The Orioles are not only a hot team right now having won 7 of 10, but they have a sizzling pitcher on the hill. Eric Bedard has virtually been unhittable of late. In his last three games Bedard has allowed just 6 hits in 23 innings while striking out an amazing 33 batters. His ERA a near perfect 0.39. He has also dominated this current Tampa Bay lineup over his career, holding them to a combined 24-122 for a .196 average. Chris Ray, the O's closer has done even better as he has held this TB roster to a .167 average. The Orioles have now won six Bedard starts in a row. He got off to a slow start, but since May 1st has pitched to a 2.09 ERA. The O's have played good baseball over the last month or so, posting a 16-12 mark. The D-Rays have been the worst team in baseball over the last month-and-a-half, going 9-28. Their pitching staff on the season has an ERA close to 7 on the road. The D-Rays annually post one of the worst road records in baseball. This year is no different as they have now gon 2-15 in their last 17 on the road, getting out-scored 143-76 in the process. Andy Sonnanstine has allowed 11 HR's in just 58 innings of work and it may take just one today to put this game on ice for the O's.
