Tampa Bay at Atlanta

It figured to be a trying season for the Atlanta Braves who are in a rebuilding mode. That appeared to not be the case early as Atlanta roared out to a 5-0 start, but has been seven games below .500 since. Tampa has been a tale of two teams this season. When they score first they are 16-2, when they don't, they are 6-16. Jake Odorizzi has pitched very well but is just 3-3 on the season, and that is because this Tampa Bay offense is really bad. It has produced two or fewer runs seven times already this season when he takes the ball. Williams Perez's (0-0, 15.43) debut was a disaster, but he should have the nerves worked out this time around after posting a gaudy 1.33 ERA in AAA. The Rays are just 2-9 in Odorizzi's last 11 starts when following a quality start in his last outing. The Braves have had recent success vs. top-flight pitching at 4-0 in their last four vs. a pitcher with a WHIP below 1.15. Take Atlanta in this one.
