St. Louis at Washington

Washington looks to make it two in a row over St. Louis after winning 3-2 on Tuesday when Yan Gomes drew a bases loaded walk from Giovanny Gallegos to force in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning. The Cardinals have lost seven of their past 10 games and they are only 2-7 the last nine meetings with the Nationals, who are 22-6 their past 28 games versus NL Central teams. Max Scherzer has had two good starts in a row allowing only one run in 13 innings and current St. Louis hitters are batting only .173 against him in 93 at-bats. Carlos Martinez has been hit hard this season with St. Louis losing all three of his starts while he has given up 13 runs on 17 hits in 15 innings. Take the Nationals.
