St. Louis at San Francisco

It has been a challenging season for Ryan Vogelsong, but he has been menacing over the course of his career come the postseason. Vogelsong certainly deserved a better fate at home this season where he pitched to a 2.98 ERA, but had a dismal 3-7 record. Vogelsong owns a career 1.25 ERA in seven postseason games, and is at 1.59 this postseason. The Cardinals go with Shelby Miller who finished the season strong, but will be looking at this Giants' lineup for the first time this season. The Cards are just 1-6 in their last NLCS games on the road, and 4-10 in their last 14 road playoff games overall. The Giants have been crushing opponents in the role of a favorite where they are now 25-9, and that stands at 13-3 in their last 16 at home vs. a team with a losing road record. The Giants recent postseason prowess has left them at 8-1 in their last nine home playoff games. San Francisco takes this one.
