St. Louis at San Francisco

The Cards are out of the gate quickly. Anytime we see the Giants as a favorite against a team playing well we have to take a hard look. The Cards have already beaten up on Cain and Zito, so Lincecum, who we respect, is running into a hot team with an offense behind him that doesn't scare too many pitchers. The Giants have already been shutout twice on the season and are averaging below three runs a game. Lincecum better pitch a complete game gem because the Cards are the dog in this game, but odds-makers have this one wrong, as we have a false favorite. We'll back the Cards, as the value is on St. Louis.
