The Cardinals went out and recovered in extra innings after watching a 7-1 lead vanish yesterday vs. the Royals. Overall, the Cardinals’ staff, even without ace Adam Wainwright, has been stellar of late, allowing 8 runs in the six games preceding yesterday's debacle. Dustin Mosely has done well on the hill despite the overall record, as he stands in with a 3.40 ERA on the season. Kyle Lohse has been equally impressive with a 2.17 ERA on the season, but in spite of that, the Cards have dropped three of his last four starts. They have whiffed frequently on the road behind his serves at 8-20 in his last 28 road starts. St. Louis has been playing low of late at 6-1 to the UNDER in their last seven games, while the Padres are a perfect 5-0 to the UNDER in their last five at home vs. a team with a winning record.
