Pittsburgh has lost four of Jameson Taillon's last six starts, including a loss to the Cardinals when he allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings on Aug. 17. Taillon has a 5.25 ERA at home, and in 16 innings against St. Louis, the right-hander has given up 10 runs on 19 hits with a .317 opponent batting average. The Cardinals have won four of their last five and are just 1 1/2 games out of a playoff spot. The Pirates have lost 13 of their last 16 overall and four of Taillon's last five home starts. The Cardinals have won four of the last five meetings and seven of their last nine overall after a loss. John Gant makes his first start of the season for St. Louis, and he pitched one scoreless inning against the Pirates on Sept. 10 among his five appearances this year. Take the Cardinals.
