St. Louis at Pittsburgh

St. Louis won its fourth in a row and climbed to within 1 1/2 games of a Wild Card spot after beating the Pirates 4-3 Friday night. Pittsburgh has lost 27 of its last 38 overall and is 0-4 in Gerrit Cole's last four starts. The Cardinals have beaten the Pirates in four straight and Pittsburgh has lost five of its last six home games. Lance Lynn has pitched better than his record indicates lately as he has a 2.41 ERA since the All-Star break and he is 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA versus the Pirates, who are batting just .233 against him this season. Cole is 2-5 with a 4.08 ERA at home and he has a 5.04 ERA so far in September. Pittsburgh has lost 13 of its last 16 against NL Central teams while St. Louis has won 16 of 21 versus teams with losing records. Take the Cardinals.
