St. Louis at Pittsburgh

St. Louis is starting to show the strain of playing 25 games in 20 days as the Cardinals have lost six of their last nine games after splitting a doubleheader with Milwaukee on Wednesday. Pittsburgh got some good pitching from its staff, but they still lost 1-0 to the Reds. Steven Brault is on the mound for the Pirates, and he figures to go four or five innings before the bullpen, which pitched well in Wednesday's loss, will take over. Dakota Hudson has faced the Pirates once this season and gave up four runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings. Last year, Hudson allowed eight runs on 21 hits in 17 innings versus Pittsburgh. St. Louis has lost five of its last six road games against left-handed starters, and Pittsburgh is getting good line value in this matchup. Play the Pirates.
