St. Louis has won four of five after beating the Pirates 4-0 on Wednesday night as Adam Wainwright threw a two-hit shutout. The Cardinal bullpen will be well rested for Wade LeBlanc, who will make his ninth start, and he allowed two runs on three hits in six innings his last outing against Atlanta. LeBlanc overall has allowed 14 earned runs in 40 1/3 innings since coming over from Baltimore. JT Brubaker is 4-11 with a 4.95 ERA for the lowly Pirates and he was destroyed by Cincinnati on Friday when he gave up nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits in five innings. Pittsburgh is 14-38 following a loss and 16-46 its past 62 games versus NL Central teams. Play the Cardinals.
