St. Louis at Philadelphia

St. Louis has had a tough week at the plate since that story on the mini-scandal broke, batting .211 with five runs scored in three straight games. Their hitting will be fine in the long run, and was yesterday, but the bigger story for this game is Cardinals aging righty John Lackey. The road has been unkind to him at 0-3 with a 6.27 ERA in six away outings. Lackey permitted three runs in seven frames in a loss to the Phillies on April 27, dropping him to 2-4, 3.46 in six all-time starts against them. The Cardinals are 0-4 in Lackey's last four road starts in 2015. Philadelphia is a big home dog but has a veteran arm throwing well in Aaron Harang (3.24), with a 1.98 ERA at home.
