St. Louis at Oakland

The Oakland A's have a long way to go to become a competitive team. They dropped 102 games in 2022 and were even worse last year finishing the season with 112 losses. The A's are 7-11 to start the season and the offense has all but vanished as the A's have scored 2 or fewer runs in six of their last seven games. That puts a lot of pressure on a mediocre pitching staff. St. Louis has been playing above the line at 9-9, as they have a +6.4% ROI. They have held Oakland to three total runs in this series, Oakland will have to deal with Steven Matz who has been a hot pitcher since late last season as he is 8-2 in his last 10 decisions. I like St. Louis in this one.
