St. Louis has won four of its past five after beating the Reds 2-0 on Sunday when Nolan Arenado hit a two-run homer in the first inning for the Cardinals' only runs. Now they catch the Mets coming off an emotional series against the Yankees and a hard-fought 7-6 win on Sunday night when Francisco Lindor hit a three-run homer in the second, and two more solo shots in the sixth and eighth, almost starting a brawl while taunting the Yanks. Adam Wainwright is 15-7 with a 2.98 ERA and having one of his best seasons and St. Louis has won his past four starts. Wainwright had a 1.43 ERA in August and has given up five earned runs in 14 2/3 innings this month. The Cards have won five straight versus left-handed starters and they have won 11 of their past 16 road games overall. Take the Cardinals.
