St. Louis at New York

The St. Louis Cardinals avoided being swept at home with a win last night, 2-1 over Detroit. They take to the road to square off with the New York Mets in the opener of a four game series tonight. The Cards will do battle against Matt Harvey, who is off to a strong start this season, but their is a caveat. The Mets are just 10-11 when he gets the ball at home in his career, and he has never beaten an opponent here that is better than .600 as the Mets are 0-3, and Harvey has yet to beat the Cards in his young career at 0-2. Jon Lackey has been a big game performer over his career and owns a 2.70 career ERA vs. the Mets. The Cards have dominated right handed pitching at 21-5 in their last 26 against them, and top pitchers have not slowed them down as they are 7-0 in their last seven vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15.
