The St. Louis Cardinals have done what few teams have done this season and that is achieve a winning record on the road. All isn't quite as it appears however, as the Cards have faced one of the softest road schedules of any team to date. They have played 33 on the road, but just nine of them have been against teams over .500 on the season and those games have left them with a losing record. Todd Wellemeyer will take the mound for them in this one and he has certainly been hittable with a 5.37 ERA and that gets worst against winning teams, where it spirals up to 6.27. Tim Redding has not been getting it done either, but better of late and with the Mets carving out a nice 16-7 run as a favorite in their last 23 as well as a 12-4 mark in their last 16 as home chalk, enough for me to grab them at home in this one.
