St. Louis at Milwaukee

Paul Goldschmidt homered, doubled and singled Wednesday as St. Louis won its 11th straight. Today the Cardinals have Adam Wainwright on the mound and they have won his last six starts, and 11 of his past 12, including 3-2 over the Padres Saturday when he allowed two runs on seven hits in six innings. Wainwright is having one of his best seasons and he has given up four earned runs in 17 1/3 innings against Milwaukee. Adrian Houser allowed five runs on seven hits in four innings his last outing versus the Cubs on Friday. The Brewers have lost four in a row and have scored only nine runs in that span, and the Cardinals go for the four-game sweep 4 1/2 games ahead in the Wild Card race. Take the Cardinals.
