St. Louis at Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Brewers have been out of the playoffs chase for quite some time now. They spoke loudly last night, rallying for a pair of runs in the bottom of the 9th, before losing 7-6 in extra innings. St. Louis is going to have to earn every win they can get in this series, as the Brew Crew is out to be a spoiler. Lance Lynn opened the season strong, but has not won since August 4th, and his season's ERA has swelled to 4.18. Yovani Gallardo has been rejuvenated since coming off the disabled list, pitching five quality starts out of six. The Cardinals sit at an ugly 1-7 on the road behind Lynn to a total of 7 to 8.5 in his last eight, as well as 0-5 in his last five road starts vs. a losing team. The Brewers own a 36-17 record in Gallardo's last 53 home starts, and are showing value as a dog here. Play on Milwaukee.
