Clayton Kershaw has no peers when it comes to taking the mound for the LA Dodgers. His last 73 starts for them have been almost super-human. Kershaw has allowed more than 3 runs in just two of his last 73 starts, including his last 23 this season. Better than that, Kershaw has allowed 1 run or fewer in 18 of his 27 starts this season. Those are numbers that you simply can't ignore, and have to play on at almost any line - especially one just shy of 2-1 odds. With all due respect to Adam Wainwright, who has had a terrific season of his own, opposing a pitcher that has been virtually unhittable on the road is just a bit much to ask. The Cardinals have folded behind Wainwright as a dog where they are 2-8 in their last 10, and their last 11 playoff road games, they stand at just 3-8. The Dodgers are now 23-6 in Kershaw's last 29 starts following a quality start in his previous outing. Take the Dodgers.
