St. Louis at Los Angeles

A lot of baseball is about timing over a long season. The red-hot Angels are making their move in the AL West with six straight wins. Tonight they have their ace on the hill, Jered Weaver, to open a series at home vs. the suddenly struggling St. Louis Cardinals. St. Louis has now dipped to 2-6 in their last eight. At 10-2, Lance Lynn is also struggling, as he has allowed 4 or more runs in three of his last four starts, pitching to a 5.78 ERA. Weaver pitched a gem his last time out, and looks to finally be hitting his stride after some time on the DL. He has delivered the Angels a 13-4 mark in interleague play backed by a 2.61 ERA. The Cardinals' offense is suddenly inconsistent, and they are 0-6 in their last six after scoring 5 or more runs in their previous contest.
