I have to question the Cubs’ strategy in a pair of losses vs. St. Louis. They opted to pitch to arguably the most dangerous hitter in baseball in Albert Pujols with the game on the line - not once but twice, and got burned by walk-off HRs in both games. Houston was hoping to get out of Bret Nyers what they did a year ago when he was great, and he may be headed there again off a brilliant 6 inning, 1-run performance on the road vs. the Cubs his last time out. The Cardinals have lost momentum following a day off, coming back at 2-5 in their last seven. Myers has done great in the NL Central with his team at 14-5 with him on the hill. Houston is also getting results vs. pitchers with a WHIP greater than 1.30 at 5-1 in their last six. The Cards, following a day off, are also 18-6-2 to the OVER in their last 26, while the Stros 6-0-1 to the OVER behind Myers after scoring 2 or fewer in their last game. Take Houston and play the OVER in this one.
