The Cleveland Indians open their series against the St. Louis Cardinals, and Joel Pineiro. Pineiro has not been pitching well at all, with a 5.63 ERA over his last three starts. He has also been awful on the road this season where he has pitched to a 5.45 ERA, and the Cards have dropped his last four road starts. The Cards have also struggled against left-hand pitching this season, where they have produced less than four runs per game against them - putting them in the bottom six in all of major league baseball. The Indians have been good against righthanders as they are 7-2 in their last nine at home against them. They have been at their best to open a series where they have gone 27-13 in their last 40 series openers. I'll back the Indians in this one.
