Hunter Gaddis pitched a gem against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday when he allowed no runs on two hits in six innings as Cleveland won 3-0 and he gets the call again today as the Guardians look to rebound from Saturday's loss 10-inning loss. Jordan Montgomery has struggled this season and St. Louis has lost his past eight starts, including 6-5 in 10 innings against Cincinnati on Monday when he allowed four runs on seven hits in four innings. The Cardinals are 1-10 their past 11 games versus a team that scored two or fewer runs its previous game and Cleveland is 19-8 against opponents that scored that allowed two or fewer runs their previous game.
