Cincinnati has certainly had the upper hand in the first two games of this series, trimming the Cardinals' lead to 1.5 games in the primary wildcard spot. That has not been the reality of this matchup as the Cards came into this series having taken seven straight series from the Reds, so I don't think this series is over yet. Bronson Arroyo did not get out of the fourth inning in his last start, as he surrendered 6 runs. His history against this St. Louis team is not pretty as he stands at 8-16 in 35 career starts, with an ERA of 4.70. The Reds are also just 1-8 in Arroyo's last nine starts vs. an opponent that scored 2 or less in their previous game. The door is open for the dog here, so play on St. Louis.
