St. Louis at Cincinnati

The teams have split the first two games of the series, but Cincinnati has won five of its last seven games overall while scoring an average of 7.7 runs per game. Brandon Finnegan is 2-4 but has pitched better than his record indicates, including a 7-2 win over Washington on Friday when he allowed just one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings. Many of his starts have been spoiled by the Reds bullpen and St. Louis hitters are batting just .244 against the left-hander. Adam Wainwright has settled down after a rough start to the season but he has a 6.55 ERA on the road and in his one appearance against the Reds this year he gave up seven runs and 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
