St. Louis at Cincinnati

St. Louis lost at Pittsburgh Sunday on a three-run, walk-off homer in the ninth. Now the Cardinals travel to Cincinnati to face Luis Castillo, who is coming off three good outings. Castillo has allowed only six runs his last 20 innings and his ERA at home this season is 3.50 compared to 5.07 on the road. Jon Lester is 4-6 with a 5.27 ERA on the year and he has been hit hard the last two months, including a 6.04 ERA and .343 opponent batting average in 25 1/3 innings in August. Cincinnati has won six of the past seven meetings, and the Reds are 24-7 their past 31 games as home favorites. St. Louis is 9-19 as a road underdog and the Cardinals have lost 13 of 19 road games vs. teams with a winning record. Take the Reds.
