St. Louis enjoyed a recent six-game win streak before losing its past two against the Cubs and the Cardinals will look to get back on track with Jordan Montgomery on the mound and he has been red-hot the past two months allowing only 10 earned runs in 53 2/3 innings. St. Louis has won five of his past seven starts, including 5-2 over Milwaukee in 10 innings on Tuesday when Montgomery gave up just a run on six hits in six innings. The left-hander has pitched much better this season than his 6-7 record indicates. Jameson Taillon has a 6.05 ERA and 1.40 WHIP although he did pitch eight scoreless innings against the Yankees before being the recipient of a 17-run outburst as Chicago beat the Nationals 17-3 on Tuesday.
