St. Louis at Chicago

St. Louis and Chicago will open their series at Wrigley this afternoon, looking to take a step toward the .500 mark. They each enter at 43-45. The Cubs were playing very good baseball until they encountered a rough, 11-game losing streak, but they have exited the demise and have split their last two games. They have been much better at home as nine of those losses occurred on a long road trip against top teams. The Cubs are a completely different team at Wrigley where they are 27-16 on the season and 23-11 in their last 34. The Cards are just 2-4 on this road trip and dropped three of four in Colorado.
