Starter Jordan Montgomery has had three good starts for the Cardinals since coming over from the Yankees, but all three were at home. His teams are 3-8 when he starts on the road, including 2-8 on the road after a victory. Meanwhile, Chicago is on a 9-4 run and plays its fourth straight home game. Starter Drew Smyly (3.67 ERA) has had a fine season with a 3.25 ERA at Wrigley Field. The Cubs have won four of his last five starts and he's been terrific of late with a 1.06 ERA in three August starts. And the Cubs are 34-17 at home after having won four or five of their last six.
