St. Louis at Baltimore

At 31-35, the St. Louis Cardinals' nine year streak of finishing above .500 is in jeopardy. A lot of that has to do with a 30-game slide that has left them at 10-20. Fortunately for them they are facing a team in the Baltimore Orioles that have been on an even bigger slide at 10-24 over their last 34 games. More recently, the Orioles are mired in a 1-8 slump. In those last nine games, Baltimore has been taking a thumping with the average score in their games at 3.44 to 9.11, or just shy of six runs per contest. Last night was no different as St. Louis won a laugher 11-2, and it just doesn't appear fitting that Baltimore should be posted as the slight favorite. Play on St. Louis.
