Arizona ended a five-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Cardinals on Tuesday when pinch-hitter Corbin Carroll's two-run triple highlighted a three-run rally in the eighth for the Diamondbacks, who remained in a tie for second place in the NL West. Arizona has won eight of Zac Gallen's past nine starts as a home favorite of -110 to -150 and they are 14-2 at home when Gallen faces teams with losing records. Also, the Diamondbacks are 20-5 in Gallen's home starts the last two years. St. Louis has lost four of five following a six-game win streak and it appeared the Cardinals were finally making a move, but then they went back to losing again. Jack Flaherty has a 4.39 ERA and 1.53 WHIP and he gave up four runs on eight hits in six innings in a 4-3 loss to the Cubs on Friday. Flaherty has a 5.66 ERA at home allowing 26 runs in 41 1/3 innings while walking 25 batters. Take the Diamondbacks as a Max Play.
