The Seattle Mariners and the Toronto Blue Jays have both gotten off to shaky starts this season. Seattle has played a lot of games at home, and have been poor on the road winning just 4 of their first 13. Felix Hernandez's career should show more wins, but a weak Mariners lineup has suppressed his numbers. He has never had success vs. the Jays where he sports a 5.13 career ERA over 12 starts against them. Ricky Romero was on Hernandez' level two years ago, but knee and arm trouble held him back since. He showed a lot of positive signs in Florida, working a seven inning gem, and takes the mound with confidence tonight. The Mariners are a surprisingly bad 6-13 when Hernandez starts a series opener, and the M's are an ugly 13-33 in their last 46 over the border in Toronto. Play on Toronto in this one.
