Seattle is slumping having lost four straight now and five of six. They can't be happy to see the Rangers who own the Mariners here in Texas. The Rangers have won 14 of 19 at home in this series over the past three seasons. The Mariners also aren't happy to see left handed John Rheinecker. Seattle has managed just 3.2 runs per game vs. lefties this season and given their current offensive slump, runs could be hard to come by tonight. Throw in a solid Texas bullpen (3.27 ERA at home) and a Ranger offense that pounds left handed pitchers (5.9 runs per game) and we have a play on the home team here.
