Seattle won its fifth in seven games 9-5 over the Rangers on Friday night after jumping out to a 7-0 lead while Texas lost for the 13th time in 14 games. The Rangers have averaged only 2.5 runs their last 10 games and are headed for 100 losses this season. Tyler Anderson has not allowed more than three runs in any of his past five starts, including three runs on seven hits in six innings against Arizona on Tuesday although the bullpen blew that game. Taylor Hearn goes for Texas and it will be just his second start and he has given up 24 earned runs on 42 hits in 49 innings mostly in relief. Seattle has won seven of the past eight meetings and the Rangers are 16-35 their past 51 games following a loss, 5-16 overall against left-handed starters. Take the Mariners.
