A great pitching duel presents itself for this one. The 2008 Cy Young winner Cliff Lee faces off vs. Matt Garza. Lee has been stellar this year which is why a team as bad as the Mariners is not a huge underdog in this one. Despite his 2.02 ERA however, the Ms are just 1-1 in his starts, thanks to an anemic offense that averages only 3.3 runs per game. Asking Lee to single-handedly deliver this team to a win on the road vs. another very good pitcher is just asking too much. Garza has posted a 2.49 ERA this season, going 5-1 in the process. The difference, of course, is run support. The Rays average 5.4 runs per game (5.7 per game vs. LHP). When facing a losing team this season, the Rays are 17-5. I don't see much changing here.
