San Diego reacted to a team executive calling the Padres an "embarrassment" by destroying Seattle 14-6 last night as the normally light-hitting team pounded out 19 hits. Colin Rea gets the call tonight and he generally has pitched well this season although seldom has gone beyond six innings. Wade Miley has allowed nine runs and 14 hits his last two starts covering 10 innings and has been inconsistent this season. The left-hander is coming off a 6-5 loss to Minnesota when he lasted only four innings. The Mariners have lost four of their last six games and San Diego has won four straight against left-handed starters. This is a good spot for the home underdog. Back the Padres.
