New York comes off a 2-1 win over the Mariners last night as Daniel Vogelbach hit a tiebreaking RBI single with two outs in the eighth for the Mets, who have won two in a row. David Peterson had one of his best outings of the season on Sunday when he allowed one run on three hits in seven innings against the Angels and the Mets won 3-2. All but one Seattle batter will be facing Peterson for the first time and he has been a different pitcher at Citi Field as opposed to the road. Peterson has a 2.61 ERA at home this season while allowing only 12 earned runs in 41 1/3 innings and he gave up just eight runs on 18 hits in 22 innings overall in August.
