Seattle at Minnesota

Ariel Miranda has been a pleasant surprise for Seattle with a 5-1 record and 3.88 ERA and the Mariners have won his last four starts. Miranda gave up just nine runs (six earned) and 14 hits in 25 innings in those outings and he was the winning pitcher in all four games. Meanwhile, Minnesota continues to lose and is now 29-50 at home with seven losses in a row overall after Friday's 10-1 defeat to the Mariners. Tyler Duffey has a 6.39 ERA and amazingly still is in the rotation after allowing 22 runs (19 earned) over his last four starts in only 15 2/3 innings. Seattle has won two straight and is 7-0 over its last seven road games. The Twins have lost eight of their last 11  against left-handed starters and a loss tonight would be their 100th of the season. Play the Mariners.
