Minnesota needed a positive result in their series opener vs. the Seattle Mariners. The Twins had been playing poorly, but got the win last night to snap a four-game losing streak. Seattle struggles offensively, and will continue to try and get something done without Robinson Cano who will not play until late in this series at best. Taijuan Walker has really struggled in his 11 road starts this season with a 5.84 ERA. Tommy Milone has given a lot of good starts to the Twins with his 5-2 record and 3.58 ERA. He has good numbers vs. the M's where he has a 3.48 ERA in his career against them in nine starts. The M's inconsistent offense has left them at 7-22 in their last 29 games after scoring 5+ in their previous contest. The Twins are an elite team at home, coming in at 33-20 on the season.
