Felix Hernandez has done his thing this season, but despite his best efforts he is just 11-10. That is simply because the Mariners don't win very often, and they have an offense that simply can't score. They are 22-48 on the road for the season. The fact is that it hasn't mattered if Felix Hernandez has been on the mound or not. The Mariners’ winning percentage is .314 on the road, and in Hernandez' last 13 road starts it is .308. It is pretty clear that when you can't score, having an ace on the mound doesn't help at all - it just becomes a wasted effort. Hernandez is even worse vs. a team with a losing record as the Mariners are just 2-9 in his last 11. The Angels meanwhile, are standing tall as a home dog behind Santana at 8-2 in their last 10. I'll go with LA in this one.
