Seattle at Los Angeles

Pennant chase on for the Halos, which has oddsmakers juicing the line. Williams is unproven especially in a pennant race and his resume so far is not a resounding notion for a play-on here, at 4.78 ERA thus far. Charles Furbush has not transitioned well into a starters role, but did drop tough 4-3 decision to the Angels so can be competitive in this spot. The Halos are not closing out series like a pennant contender, with just 2-5 in their last seven tries. The Mariners are playing free and loose, while the Halos with an unknown commodity on the mound under pressure, could be suspect here and vulnerable. I like Seattle in this one.
