Seattle at Kansas City

Seattle is tied for a playoff spot after a recent downturn and the Mariners suddenly are more desperate for some wins after losing to the Royals last night. The Mariners have Logan Gilbert going tonight and he is 13-6 with a 3.13 ERA and they have won four of his past five starts, including 9-1 over the Angeles on Monday when he gave up one run on four hits in six innings. Gilbert has allowed no more than two earned runs in any of his last six starts and he is 8-1 on the road this season. Kris Bubic is 2-13 with a 5.81 ERA and generally is having a disastrous year. Bubic didn't make it through the third inning on Sunday when Kansas City lost 13-3 to the Red Sox. Seattle has won six of the past eight meetings and the Royals are 40-87 their past 127 games against AL West teams. Take the Mariners.
