It would be easy to be fooled by Hernandez’ numbers so far. He dominated before injuring his forearm and went through a spring training process live during the season and took his lumps. The signs he is back are pointed out by his last outing, and his own admission, that he is finally healthy and ready to be special again. He will face a Houston team with little offense, and a staff that has already blown 12 saves. This is a team that is 7-20 in their last 27 games and is on the short side of hitting, pitching and bullpen in this matchup. The Mariners are 16-7 in their last 23, and if their was a Yankee or Red Sox logo on the hat, this money line would be more like -180, so the value lies with the road team here.
